Enrollment
St. Michael the Archangel Academy is a year round non-profit religious private school satellite program for Catholic families. Its academic year begins August 1 and ends July 31. SMAA files a private school affidavit in the State of California, and operates under the provision and in accordance with California Education Code Section 33190 and 48222 and the guidelines of the Diocese of Orange.
Once registered, a family will receive an enrollment packet which includes: a scope and sequence (detailed learning objectives by subject) for each enrolled grade level; recommendations for a customized educational plan, record keeping forms, online information, Live Scan /Fingerprint and Safe Environment guidelines, and a parent handbook.
We believe that parents should fit the curriculum to their children, and not their children to a curriculum. We encourage students to learn at their own pace. At times that may mean using texts as listed for upper grade levels or those for lower grade levels. The importance is that students master the art of learning. since it is impossible to master all subjects, it is necessary to help your children discover their own God-given aptitudes and talents, and then pursue those interests in their studies.
